Visiting

Lakes Regional Healthcare has open visiting hours. We encourage families to visit and participate in the care of their loved one. However, there may be planned times for rest depending on the department and the patient’s condition.

A REMINDER THAT CARING MAY MEAN NOT VISITING

In an effort to keep your loved one safe, please do not visit any patient if you have any of the following signs of illness:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Runny nose
  • Sore throat
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea

To help prevent the spread of illness, all visitors are encouraged to wash hands with soap and water, or use alcohol-based hand foam/gel upon entering and exiting a patient’s room.

For security reasons, the hospital locks most of its doors each evening between 6:00 and 9:00 pm. After 9:00 pm you must enter through the Emergency Room door on the west side of the campus to visit a patient.

PARKING

Patients and visitors may park in the lots:

  • on the west side of the campus near the Emergency and Outpatient Center entrances,
  • on the east side of the campus near the Surgery Center, or
  • on the south side of the campus near the Northwest Iowa Bone, Joint & Sports Surgeons and Physical Therapy entrance.
