QuickCare At Lakes Regional

The QuickCare clinic provides same-day appointments with local, experienced family medicine physicians and nurse practitioners for patients with common, non-emergent health concerns such as earache, allergies, nausea, minor burns or cuts, or cold or flu symptoms. It is an excellent resource when you don’t need an emergency room or can’t get into your regular doctor.  QuickCare services are available Monday through Thursday from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Although walk-in appointments may be available, it is always best to call ahead to ensure the availability of openings. If you are interested in scheduling an appointment at the QuickCare clinic, call 712-336-3750.

When to Use QuickCare:

QuickCare is for non-emergent, acute health concerns such as:

  • Acid reflux
  • Allergies
  • Cold or flu symptoms
  • Diarrhea
  • Ear ache, allergies
  • Headache
  • Insect or animal bites
  • Minor burns, cuts or rashes
  • Nausea
  • Pink eye
  • Sinus infection
  • Stomachache
  • Urinary tract infections

When to Seek Emergency Care:
QuickCare is not suited for all needs. Sometimes you might think an illness or injury will get better, or that you can wait for a doctor’s appointment, or that you can simply go to the QuickCare clinic. However, there are instances when it is not in your best interest to wait to receive care. If you have any emergent health concerns such as those listed below, call 911 or visit the nearest Emergency Department immediately:

  • Chest pain
  • Shortness of breath
  • Major burns/cuts
  • Complications from pregnancy
  • Poisoning or drug overdose
  • Stroke-like symptoms
  • Suicidal thoughts

Lakes Regional Healthcare’s ER is available 24 hours/day, every day, and is staffed with a physician, registered nurses, and paramedics. It is located on our main Spirit Lake campus at 2301 Highway 71 South.
