Insurance & Billing
When you provide us with accurate insurance policy information, we’re able to submit your claims to your insurance company, Medicare or Medicaid in a timely manner. At the time of registration, you will be asked for your current insurance information. You will receive a balance due bill for any amounts not covered by your insurance – these could include co-payments, deductibles, co-insurance and non-covered services. It is your responsibility to be aware of your insurance policy benefits and negotiating with your insurance carrier, if needed. Lakes Regional Healthcare has staff that can help with understanding your insurance coverage.
If you’re without insurance, ask us about payment plans to help you cover the cost of care by calling 712-336-6218.
Lakes Regional Healthcare will share your insurance and demographic information with other health care providers such as physicians, anesthesiologists, radiologists and pathologists for billing purposes. You will receive separate balance due statements from these providers.
Regarding payments, it’s important to note that:
- All co-payments are due and payable at the time of service.
- If you receive care for a work-related injury, notify the receptionist when you arrive for your appointment.
If you have questions on how your insurance processed payment for your health care claim, you should contact your insurance company or call us at 712-336-1230 extension 1175.
