Congratulations to Madyson Bergendahl and Dakotah Fisher of Estherville, Iowa. They are the proud parents of Tucker, Dickinson County’s New Year’s Baby. Tucker was born at Lakes Regional Healthcare (LRH) on January 2 at 7:03 am weighing 9 pounds, 3 ounces and 21 inches in length.
Madyson and Dakotah weren’t too surprised to have the New Year’s Baby because they had a planned c-section delivery scheduled for the day after New Years. Madyson said, “It still has been fun to officially have this recognition!”
Tucker will be welcomed home by brother Beckett. “Tucker looks almost identical to Beckett when he was born, except that he has my dark hair,” said Madyson.
The experience at LRH has been a positive one too. Madyson said, “We love the doctors and nurses here. Both Dakotah and I were born here, and Beckett, and we’ve always had really good experiences.”
Upper Des Moines Opportunity, the First Five Program, and Lakes Regional Healthcare nurses donated gifts for the first baby born in the new year, including diapers, books, clothing, and more. Madyson said, “We didn’t expect any gifts and were really surprised and thankful for them!”
