The healthcare providers at Lakes Regional Family Medicine realize illnesses and minor injuries don’t always happen during the weekdays or that you may not be able to wait a few days to receive care. For these reasons, their QuickCare clinic has expanded hours on weekdays and is also open to see patients on Saturday mornings. The clinic is located within Lakes Regional Family Medicine and provides same-day appointments for patients with common, non-emergent health concerns Monday through Thursday from 1-6 p.m. along with Saturdays from 8 a.m. until noon.
“We understand it can be difficult for those that work on weekdays to get away from work for a clinic appointment,” said Lakes Regional Family Medicine Clinic Manager Amanda Plathe. “Our providers want to be as available as possible for non-emergent health care needs and hope patients take advantage of this service.”
The QuickCare clinic provides same-day appointments with local, experienced family doctors and nurse practitioners for patients with common, non-emergent health concerns such as ear ache, allergies, nausea, minor burns or cuts, or cold or flu symptoms. Plathe said, “QuickCare is an excellent resource when you don’t need an emergency room or can’t get in to your regular doctor. Plus it’s also a way to reduce health care costs by possibly preventing a costly emergency room bill.”
Although walk-in appointments may be available, it is always best to call ahead to ensure availability of openings. Those interested in scheduling an appointment at the QuickCare clinic can call 712-336-3750.
