Lakes Regional Healthcare (LRH) announced today that Bryan Williams, RN, MSN has been appointed Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Williams began his duties on September 26, 2022.
“I was initially interested in the position, and my interest was peaked more after meeting the leadership team and seeing the hospital first-hand,” said Williams. “They have a very collaborative team that has a culture that’s positive for both staff and patients. What I felt through the interview process is, in fact, what I’ve experienced working here.”
LRH President and CEO Jason Harrington said, “We are very excited to add Bryan to our senior leadership team. Bryan brings many years of nursing and leadership experience to the position and we look forward to the new insights and value that he will bring to the organization and our patients.”
Williams comes to LRH from MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, where he was the MercyOne Air Med Program Manager since 2019. Previously he was the Chief Flight Nurse. Prior to that he was a Flight Nurse and House Supervisor. He has also been active on the Midwest-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team through the Department of Health and Human Services since 2005, where he carried out complex assignments in a variety of environmental conditions. A recent response included caring for the first group of patients coming off cruise ships who had COVID-19 in March 2020 before any shutdowns happened. He also was a Nursing Supervisor on Disaster Response to Hurricane Katrina. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Chamberlain University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Iowa College of Nursing.
