Lakes Regional Healthcare (LRH) recently received the 2023 Performance Leadership Award for excellence in Quality and Patient Perspective by the Chartis Center for Rural Health. This is the sixth consecutive year LRH has been recognized by Chartis.
The Performance Leadership Awards honor top quartile performance among rural hospitals in quality, outcomes, and/or patient perspective using the same CMS data that is used to determine hospital star ratings. LRH is also a five-star hospital according to CMS and is the only hospital in the western half of Iowa, and one of five Avera-affiliated hospitals, to receive the prestigious rating.
