A new fundraising event hosted by Lakes Regional Healthcare Foundation is planned for Friday, August 13. The Foundation’s Grape Escape Uncorked event will raise funds toward the Scholarship Endowment Fund, which provides scholarships to high school seniors, college students, and Lakes Regional Healthcare employees in Dickinson County who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. The evening will include heavy hors d’oeuvres, barrel tasting, and live music by Boon & Lambert. Instead of an auction, for a minimum donation of $35, participants will receive a limited edition red wine blend, named “The Lake Awaits,” specifically made by Round Lake Vineyards & Winery to support the Scholarship Endowment Fund.

Tickets are $100 each and can be purchased by calling 712-336-8791. The ticket price includes a gift, courtesy of Okoboji Realty and Lakes Regional Healthcare. The event will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a welcome message at 7:00 pm. Those unable to attend the Grape Escape Uncorked but interested in supporting Lakes Regional Healthcare Foundation can contact Foundation Executive Director Sonja Hamm at 712-336-8791 or sonja.hamm@lakeshealth.org.

Hamm said the event wouldn’t be possible without the support of sponsors. Gift sponsors include Okoboji Realty and Lakes Regional Healthcare. Barrel sponsors include Bank Midwest, MHR Insurance, Midwest Radiology, and Mueske Electric/Mueske Family Foundation. Lakes Regional Healthcare Foundation Scholarship supporters include Bates Construction, Jason and Mickey Harrington, Northwest Bank, and Sandy Law Firm.
