Lakes Regional Healthcare was recently named one of the top 20 rural and community hospitals in the country by the National Rural Health Association based on an evaluation by the Chartis Center for Rural Health using the Hospital Strength Index®. Lakes Regional Healthcare is the only hospital in Iowa and Minnesota to receive this honor.
The determining factors for the top 20 rural and community hospitals were based on eight indices: inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspectives, costs, charge, and financial efficiency.
“We were recently named a Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital by The Chartis Center for Rural Health and understand this top 20 designation means we were among the top 20 in that top 100 list,” said Lakes Regional Healthcare President and CEO Jason Harrington. “We’re proud of the efforts of our physicians and staff who have contributed to our hospital achieving this designation.”
