In acknowledgement of January 22-28, 2023 as National Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) Week, Lakes Regional Healthcare (LRH) is recognizing the contributions the CRNAs devote to their patients’ care.
CRNAs deliver anesthesia to patients in any healthcare setting, staying with them throughout their procedure to ensure their comfort and safety. LRH Director of Surgical and Anesthesia Services Melissa Klontz said, “Our five CRNAs have a total combined service of 85 years and are a valuable asset to our organization and community.”
All CRNAs at LRH are credentialed by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists. CRNAs are required to have a minimum of one year of critical care experience before entering a nurse anesthesia education program. In all, they attain seven to eight years of education, training, and work experience before working independently. LRH’s CRNAs regularly receive continuing education and strive to provide the highest quality care to their patients.
LRH is currently looking to add another CRNA to their team. Those interested are encouraged to apply online at https://pm.healthcaresource.com/cs/avera/#/job/81888.
