Top 20

Lakes Regional Healthcare was recently named one of the top 20 rural and community hospitals in the country by the National Rural Health Association based on an evaluation by the Chartis Center for Rural Health using the Hospital Strength Index®. This is the second year in a row that Lakes Regional Healthcare has received this honor.

The determining factors for the top 20 rural and community hospitals were based on eight indices: inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspectives, costs, charge, and financial efficiency.

“The Top 20 list is a high honor, and a recognition of our overall quality and strength. It reflects high quality care, great service, high value and financial strength. I’m proud of our healthcare team who work very hard to sustain this level of excellence,” said Lakes Regional Healthcare President and CEO Jason Harrington.

Lakes Regional Healthcare has also been named a Top 100 Rural and Company Hospital in the United States for four years in a row by The Chartis Center for Rural Health. They are also recognized as a 5-star hospital by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and are the only hospital in northwest Iowa and southwest Minnesota to receive this recognition.
